JoeyO is a distinguished British musician, celebrated for his role as the lead guitarist in the Gary Moore tribute show, where he embodies the character of Gary Moore, capturing the essence of the legendary guitarist. Joey's exceptional talent and deep understanding of Moore's music have made him the main member and a driving force of the tribute band.

Early Life

Born in London as the youngest of five siblings, JoeyO picked up the recorder at age six but soon transitioned to the guitar at age eight, inspired by his older brother. His early influences included blues and 1960s rock and roll, with icons such as Gary Moore, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Winter, Jimmy Page, Joe Perry, George Harrison, and B.B. King shaping his musical style. Joey also developed a passion for Spanish classical music and the Spanish guitar, with psychedelic soul singer Janis Joplin significantly influencing his musical direction.

Early Career

At 17, Joey became the lead guitarist for the band Johnny Lite Connection, gaining extensive stage experience before joining Playground, where he served as the lead guitarist and frontman from 2000 to 2002. During his time with Playground, Joey released the album "Standalone Johnny" in 2001 and performed at notable venues such as Borderline, Shepherd's Bush Empire, Water Rats, and The Forum.

In 2008, Joey was recognized as one of Britain's most naturally gifted guitarists. He joined The Kases and reunited with his former Playground bandmates, releasing tracks like "It’s Been a Long Time" and "Kenneth’s Song," which received significant airplay across Europe.

Keyboards/Vocals - John Michaels

John Michaels is a seasoned professional in the entertainment industry with over 20 years of experience as a sound engineer, keyboard player, and production manager. Having founded MusicTek and served as a Production Manager on major cruise lines, John has demonstrated his technical expertise and passion for music through various high-profile roles. His diverse skill set makes him an invaluable asset to any project, consistently delivering high-quality performances and seamless event execution.

John's dedication to music and the arts is evident in his resilience following a severe car accident, after which he continued to innovate and support the industry. He created "The Lockdown Jams" during the COVID-19 pandemic to help musicians collaborate and entertain audiences online, showcasing his commitment to the community and his ability to adapt under challenging circumstances.

A huge fan of Gary Moore's music, John is thrilled to be part of the "Gary" tribute show. Currently working as a freelance musician and AV technician, he brings his extensive experience and passion for Gary Moore's work to this project. John's enthusiasm and expertise ensure that each performance is a fitting tribute to the legendary musician, providing audiences with an unforgettable experience. Phil Evans - Bass Guitar

Phil Evans grew up with a diverse musical diet of rock, blues, and punk, listening to everything from The Sweet and Slade to The Jam, The Ramones, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake, and Beth Hart. His bass-playing heroes include Philip Lynott, JP Jones, Neil Murray, Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm, John Entwistle, and Bernard Hopkins.

At 17, Phil made his mark with NWOBHM band Boulevard, whose single reached No. 3 on the Sounds Rock Charts. Since then, he's performed with numerous rock and blues bands both in the UK and abroad. Phil spent several years gigging with neo-classical metal band September Gun and has recently played with local bands Licor & Poker, The Air Hillares, and Wing And A Prayer, featuring legendary Thunder drummer Harry James. He also spent 11 years with British Blues Rockers 3AM...
Drums - Manuel
Born in Austria, Manuel began his musical journey at the age of 5, mastering the drums early on. His exceptional talent led him to pursue a professional music career, and by the age of 14, he enrolled in a pre-university course at the prestigious Joseph Haydn Conservatory. He went on to graduate with three degrees in drums, setting the foundation for his career.
During his studies, Manuel performed with various Austrian artists and projects nationwide. His most notable achievement was performing in the musical Mamma Mia! at the renowned Seefestspiele Mörbisch festival in 2023, playing 30 shows to a total audience of over 180,000.
In late 2023, Manuel relocated to London to establish himself in the international music scene. His talent quickly gained recognition, and he began performing with bands and projects across the UK, as well as internationally in Ireland, Iceland, and Austria.
